Bye To Guilt: how to manage mum-guilt to find happiness at home and work

Bye To Guilt: how to manage mum-guilt to find happiness at home and work

£199.00

This is a 10 part course to complete at home in your own time. It will help you find the time and space to do what you need for you, without the guilt. It will help you feel in control, calm and confident.

Guilt is a useful emotion, so rather than banishing it altogether, we need to learn how to manage it and identify whether it is stopping us living the lives we truly desire.

This course will help you tune in to the sources of guilt in your life, learning how to balance these with what makes you calm and happy, in both work and family life.

If you constantly feel like you’re juggling different parts of life, this course will also help you find freedom through developing a peaceful equilibrium. It’s okay to value and care for yourself while devoting meaningful time to your partner, children, boss, business partner, extended family and friends.

I’m going to give you tools to use to manage these feelings when they arise as well as teach you how to listen to and trust your instincts. When it comes to managing expectations (both our own and those of others) there isn’t a rule book. Instead of giving in to guilt, let’s open up to new possibilities and gain the knowledge we need to thrive.

MODULES x 10

B: Be honest
What are you feeling most guilty about? In this opening module, I want you to be really honest with yourself and assess all the things that make you feel guilty – large and small. This can include anything from not instantly responding to text messages, to not taking your dream job because of the impact this might have on your family.

Y: You, at the heart of it all
This module will focus on you. Everything that is important to you and what you need to thrive. Using the saying ‘You can’t pour from an empty cup’ as inspiration, we’ll discover what you need to stay motivated, energised and fulfilled.

E: Everyone else’s needs
In this module, I want you to focus on all the people you have to please. Not only your child but perhaps your boss, partner, friends or family. We’ll explore how much time you have to dedicate to others and work towards reassessing the balance, focusing on who truly needs you most and what you can delegate or decline without feeling guilty. The key question here will be ‘By saying yes to someone else, how often are you saying no to yourself?’

T: Trust your instincts
This is where the real work starts. We now know what makes you feel guilty, what you need to make you happy and who is dependent on your time. Now is the time to practice releasing those feelings of guilt and starting to trust your instincts. Tools and techniques will be shared for you navigate this new, guilt-free world with ease!

O: Obstacles in your way
This is about your beliefs and digging deep to find the true you. Where do your guilty feelings originate from and what are those limiting beliefs that might be holding you back. It’s time to let go and reframe in order to enjoy more ‘me time’ without feeling apologetic.

G: Goals for you and your family
I want you to focus on the future – you and your families needs, going forward. What can you do to overcome guilt and live in a happy equilibrium, with ample time for yourself as well as attending to the needs of others? Whether your timeline is three weeks, three months or three years, let’s make some plans to focus on saying goodbye to guilt and hello to new opportunities.

U: Ultimate test
This module is about testing everything you’ve learned so far by putting it into practice. Let’s get out of our comfort zones and into the unknown, experiencing a guilt-free world for the first time!

I: Invest in yourself
The work doesn’t need to end as the course comes to a conclusion. Now is the time to evaluate what’s worked well for you and what’s next on your agenda, so that you can continue to grow, both personally and professionally.

L: Lightbulb Moments
This is where we look at the day-to-day changes you might have already made. Hopefully, you’re already enjoying spending more time on yourself and implementing the small changes that can make a world of difference to how you think, feel and act. It can take a month to change a habit, so we’ll think about what you can do to sustain new behaviours and make them stick in the long-term. I will also be turning on more light bulbs in our final coaching call so do not fear if you’ve only had a one or two.

T: Tools for the future
How have you been keeping guilt away, and will these strategies stand the test of time? I will work with you to pull together everything you’ve learned on the course and to discuss which tools have worked best for you, developing strategies to implement these into everyday life.
